Oblako Nechist – JC Fest 26 Limited

Several centuries ago, a Russian peasant lived in a world where the unknown was ever-present.
Nachts knackte irgendetwas hinter dem Ofen.
It was easy to get lost in the woods.
People disappeared into dark waters.
Whatever couldn’t be explained was given a name, a character and its own story.
In villages of old, it was believed that every village had its own guardian.
The Domovoi lived in the house.
Leschi was regarded as the lord of the forest.
Wodjanoi, the Lord of the Waters.
There were many such ghosts.
Man fürchtete sie, respektierte sie und versuchte, sie nicht zu stören.
This gave rise to stories about creatures which, over time, came to be grouped under a single term: Nechist.
Oblako has brought together precisely these characters in a single matryoshka doll.
